RUSSIAN GOLDEN HOUR

During an hour at the same venue 11 times in a row national flag of the USSR was raised and the national anthem was played. Australian newsletter in one of its article was saying that during this "Russian Golden Hour", viewers memorized the Soviet anthem. Gymnasts won 11 gold, 6 silver and 5 bronze medals among men and women. The absolute champions of the Melbourne Olympics were Larisa Latynina and Victor Chukarin.
